I designed the Generation IV 10’7” 4wt to be a versatile tool focused on heavier trout nymphing applications. This rod loads easily with a jig streamer or larger single nymphs. The action and power is perfect for twitching flies and setting the hook with nymphs as large as 1/0. The 10’7” 4wt model will cast overhead with a true 4wt fly line, while also handling indicators and multiple flies -- with a great action for mending and roll casting. This rod model is the perfect choice for people who target big river trout with larger offerings.

This rod model will perform best for fishing situations that fall within these parameters:

• Optimal hook size range: 1/0 - 12
• Optimal tippet range: 3X - 6X
• Optimal fish target size: Backbone to fight big river trout, light migratory fish work, Bull Trout, smaller Carp, Smallmouth Bass.
• Anything under 10 pounds.
• Optimal AFTMA line weight for casting: Lines that fall within the AFTMA standard for 4wt lines will be the best match.
